Fridaynite Pocker Game

Every Fri we play pocker a game called booray, anyway I get burned and I have to put $15 in the pot, I have an sae that I carry sometimes so I reach in my pocket N throw it in the pot to see what happens. First guy that see's it says what the hell is that? picks it up looks at it they pass it around the table n decide I can't use it. You get out cash n put it on the table, one guy says it must be worthless or he would'nt be trying to use here, another says if I can't take this to the bank n get $15 I don't want it, it says right on it $1. I ask if anyone knows the price of silver per ounce?. Only 1 out 7 players Knew n he still did'nt want it. So put it back in my pocket n replace with frn's then every body is happy. I'm thinking silver may still be a well kept secret from the masses.

This tells you that we are not near the bubble stage. We are still in Phase Two, where the investment community has caught on, but not your Average Joe.

A favorite of mine is to play poker with the junk 90% silver. Everyone puts in, say $10 FRN, and in exchange gets $10 face of 90% silver to use instead of plastic chips - a nice mixture of silver dimes, quarters, halves and even Morgan or Peace dollars. The sound of silver hitting the table as it's tossed around is music to my ears, and when you're playing with real silver coins, the pot in the middle looks really good when it's filled with Walking Liberty halves and Standing Liberty quarters! Of course, at the end of the night if you're the winner you have to cash your 90% in for the FRN everyone put in at the beginning.

Throw a BIG $20 double eagle on the table like in the WARSAW Ghetto "PIANIST" movie - and watch their EYES BUG then....

let it kinda go around the table and then MAKE that LOVERLY gold clanking sound on a wooden table.....

round & round & round............... I have a raw one just for that..........

There is NO FEVER like GOLD fever - and that puppy rolling around the table worth about $1800 now really opens UP their
FIAT eyes - I'd betya! Especially if you tell them it cost $300 a few years ago!

I don't think I agree with your assessment.

We reached the bubble stage in housing without the Average Joe turning into a house-flipper. The real estate professionals were pushing as hard as they could, and a relatively small number of opportunistic amateurs thought they could get rich quick by speculating in real estate. Easy credit and stupid, unsustainable loan terms pushed prices ever higher. Then -- POP! goes the bubble.

The general public, "Average Joe" only bought houses they planned to live in. They behaved pretty much as they always had. The bubble took them for a ride, but they didn't cause it.

I think the behavior of the general public is a poor predictor of a bubble. Instead look for the much smaller group of "Johnny-Come-Lately" speculators. They are the people who will jump on to any investment fad, bringing boundless enthusiasm but little knowledge. They follow "investment" advice without understanding it. When they reach critical mass, there's a bubble-pop on the way.

How many of the hucksters who used to make infomercials promising easy money in real estate have switched over to infomercials promising easy money in gold and silver?

For every PM buyer, there is a seller. If the seller happens also to be a big promoter of PMs, you have to wonder why he's selling instead of following the advice he's shouting to the rest of us.

When someone spends a lot of time or money suggesting that we buy something, he's doing it for his own benefit, not for ours.

Tell them it wasn't that long ago that it only cost $20!

I wonder if we're going to be hearing about Central Banks loading up on Silver as well as Gold.
